Supporting the Stranded: Food Donation Drive for Migrant Workers in Crisis

Introduction

On 5 April 2020, as the COVID pandemic unfolded and thousands of migrant workers were forced to walk long distances back to their hometowns, Team SVSS stepped forward to provide much-needed support. With compassion and urgency, volunteers distributed food along major highways, reaching labourers from other states who were struggling without resources or access to meals.

Our Commitment

This initiative offered relief at a critical moment, ensuring that those journeying under immense hardship did not go hungry. The effort highlighted not only the physical challenges faced by migrant workers, but also the importance of collective empathy during national crises.

Through this act of service, Team SVSS demonstrated that even in moments of uncertainty, humanity and solidarity can make a profound difference in the lives of those most in need.
